This earthen dam was purchased by State of Nevada in 1963, and has required significant improvements to keep the water system operational. Lumos has worked with SPWD since 2014 on a variety of design, planning, and permitting efforts to restore this historic system.
The Lumos survey team has supported these efforts through topographic survey, using a combination of aerial photogrammetry and ground-collected field shots. This includes a bathymetric survey of the cove area near the dam, a digital terrain model, topographic base map, color orthophoto, and aerial mapping capturing water surface extent around the entire Marlette Lake.
