Plumas County Jail and Day Reporting Center

Lumos partnered with Clark/Sullivan Construction, Broward Builders, and Arrington Watkins Architects to provide civil engineering, survey and geotechnical exploration services on this new design-build correctional facility. Our team assisted with the preparation of easement documents for the project and worked closely with the design-build team on the site layout. This included vehicle and pedestrian access, secure areas of the site, emergency vehicle access, and safe dispersal areas. Site design encompassed grading plans, placement of parking lots, access aisles, sidewalks, curb/gutter installations, storm drains, water and fire line arrangements, sanitary sewer systems (including lift station design), and comprehensive site grading and striping plans.

Our team further supported the completion of this project by preparing the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). This plan was submitted to the Regional Water Quality Control Board to meet the Construction General Permit Requirements.

Civil design for the Plumas County New Jail and Day Reporting Center was completed in 2022. This facility is currently being built, with our team providing engineering support during construction as needed.
