Project Description
Lumos is currently developing preliminary design reports and civil construction drawings for a new 2.85 MGD lift station and the associated 3.7 miles of force main for transporting wastewater from the new StoneGate development near Cold Springs, Nevada to the Cold Springs Water Reclamation Facility in Washoe County. This lift station will serve an estimated 5,000 residential units in addition to the accompanying commercial and educational facilities to be constructed with the residential growth. The lift station design includes site grading, interim and build out wet wells and pumping systems, valve vaults, pig launching stations, bypass piping and pumping connections, a building for electrical and control systems, and provisions for odor control systems. The force main design includes fve parallel force mains and appurtenances such as air valves and drain valves. Ultimately the lift station will be maintained and owned by Washoe County.
