Lumos prepared a road realignment feasibility study for the Summit Lake Paiute Tribe. The purpose of the feasibility study was to analyze different alignments for an existing road, which was located in close proximity to Summit Lake. Over the years, the use of the road by vehicles caused environmental impacts to Summit Lake due to soil erosion and stormwater runoff. Lumos worked with Summit Lake Paiute Tribe to identify alternate alignments to minimize environmental impacts to the Lake. Lumos then analyzed the design requirements for the various alignments and made a recommendation for the preferred route. Lumos prepared an engineer’s cost estimate, identified different grant opportunities for Summit Lake and prepared a strategy for Summit Lake to move forward on obtaining grant funding.
