Shamrock Communications, Inc., a Pennsylvania corporation, hired Lumos to assist with the permitting of a 1446’ tall communication tower on Bureau of Land Management managed land located near Nightingale, Nevada. Lumos provided civil engineering, survey and permit assistance. Lumos was the client contact and liaison for the NEPA review process, coordinated the environmental consultants, met and negotiated with BLM, and assisted in resolving issues associated with the preparation of the Environmental Assessment. As part of the BLM process, Lumos prepared the initial right-of-way application, prepared visual simulations, coordinated site visits and worked with the environmental consultants to define the scope of the project and mitigate impacts. Lumos attended meetings with BLM and environmental consultants throughout the process and assisted with the Monitoring Plan preparation. Additionally, Lumos prepared foundation plans for the building and a site plan for the overall project. Lumos assisted Shamrock with obtaining a special use permit and building permit from Churchill County and provided all survey services, including the preparation of legal descriptions and easement documents.
