Lumos is contracted with Mineral Ridge Gold, LLC to conduct a 3-Phase groundwater development project to develop a new water source for their mining operations. The project involves a surface geophysical survey (Phase 1), design, contract documents, and drilling oversight of a 2200-foot deep exploration test hole and monitoring well (Phase 2), and the design, contract documents and drilling oversight of a production water supply well for the mine. In September of 2011, Lumos performed a controlled source audio magnetotellurics/magnetotellurics (CSAMT/MT) geophysical survey to identify subsurface fractures for targeting for drilling test holes. Phase 2 of the project was conducted in February and March 2012 with the drilling of a 2200-foot deep test hole that was converted into a 2-inch diameter, 2100-foot deep, monitoring well. Phase 3 of the project is currently underway with the development and approval of a Work Plan to the BLM,specification and contract documents, and the drilling and development of a 21-inch diameter 2100-foot deep production well for Mineral Ridge Mine’s operation.
